Day 1 – Arrival Costa Rica

Upon your arrival at the international airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by a local representative from Eco Tours Costa Rica. They will escort you via private land transfer to your hotel. This is your introduction to the beauty and hospitality of Costa Rica. The rest of your day is designated free time for the two of you to explore the country’s vibrant capital city.

Day 2 – Transfer by Land and Boat to Tortuguero National Park

An early start as you depart from San Jose to Tortuguero National Park. You’ll journey through the lush Braulio Carrillo National Park, a predominantly primary forest. A delightful Costa Rican breakfast stop is included. Continue the voyage to La Pavona or Caño Blanco, where you’ll board a comfortable boat for an enchanting cruise along the Tortuguero Canals. Arrive at Mawamba Lodge, a haven surrounded by stunning flora and fauna. A refreshing cocktail and delicious lunch await.

Day 3 – Tortuguero National Park

Explore Tortuguero National Park by boat, the only way to access its wonders. Set out at dawn to capture the beauty of a Caribbean sunrise while cruising the canals. After breakfast at Pachira Lodge, you’ll have leisure time to enjoy the hotel’s amenities and take a guided hike through the gardens. Following lunch, you can explore private trails, take a canal boat ride, or simply relax. An optional night tour to witness Green Turtles nesting might be available if conditions permit.

Day 4 – Transfer by Boat and Land to Sarapiqui

Begin the day with an early breakfast at Pachira Lodge. Check out and embark on a boat transfer to Pavona or Caño Blanco, where your transportation awaits. You’ll journey to Sarapiqui with a lunch stop in Guapiles along the way. Upon arrival at la Quinta Hotel, settle in for your stay.

Day 5 – Chocolate Tour & Whitewater Rafting

Today, after a delicious breakfast, you will join a chocolate tour in la Tirimbina biological station. Our chocolate tour takes you on a journey from cacao beans to delectable chocolate, offering insights into the process of chocolate-making and the rich history surrounding this treat. 
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a rafting tour in the beautiful Sarapiqui river. This rafting is Class II-III rapids and beautiful crystal-clear pools. This rafting trip is perfect for both beginners and those with previous experience. During the trip, our guides will help you identify various species of birds, plants, and animals as we make our way down the river. Plus, we’ll stop in the middle of the journey to enjoy tropical fruits, like the famous Sarapiquí pineapple. 

Day 6 – Transfer Out to Juan Santamaria Airport

Today, our driver will drive you to the Juan Santamaria Airport for your international flight
