Rain Forest Aerial Tram

Join us to explore the treetops of the Rainforest with our Aerial Tram tour. This tour begins in San Jose then we will drive you through the beautiful Braulio Carrillo National Park. This national park is located along the Central Volcanic Mountain Range and covers 47.000 hectares of tropical forest within the park you can find some volcanoes and a large variety of plants and animals including wild cats and tapirs. You will enjoy a scenic ride where you can see different plants including some orchids, bromeliads, and gunneras also known as Poor’s Man umbrella. Once we get to the aerial tram (parking lot) we will take another transport to the main reception where you will meet your guide. Then, you will enjoy a gondola ride several meters above the forest floor where your guide will explain about the flora and fauna that you see in the treetops. Afterward, you will hike through the forest with your guide where you get to see poison arrow frogs, small rodents, sloths, and monkeys. This tour also includes a visit to a butterfly garden, orchid garden, frogs, and reptiles. Donald Perry founded the Rain Forest Aerial Tram in Costa Rica. Mr. Perry did his research in the Braulio Carrillo National Park. His main idea was to study the treetops of the Rainforest. He was the first to use zip lines to study the rainforest canopy. This work appeared on the covers of Scientific American, Smithsonian, and New York Sunday Times magazines
