Day 1 – Arrival

Upon your arrival at the international airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by a local representative from Eco Tours Costa Rica. They will escort you via private land transfer to your hotel. This is your introduction to the beauty and hospitality of Costa Rica. The rest of your day is designated free time for the two of you to explore the country’s vibrant capital city.

Day 2 – Transfer to Tortuguero

An early start as you depart from San Jose to Tortuguero National Park. You’ll journey through the lush Braulio Carrillo National Park, a predominantly primary forest. A delightful Costa Rican breakfast stop is included. Continue the voyage to La Pavona or Caño Blanco, where you’ll board a comfortable boat for an enchanting cruise along the Tortuguero Canals. Arrive at Mawamba Lodge, a haven surrounded by stunning flora and fauna. A refreshing cocktail and delicious lunch await.

Day 3 – Tortuguero National Park

Explore Tortuguero National Park by boat, the only way to access its wonders. Set out at dawn to capture the beauty of a Caribbean sunrise while cruising the canals. After breakfast at Mawamba Lodge, you’ll have leisure time to enjoy the hotel’s amenities and take a guided hike through the gardens. Following lunch, you can explore private trails, take a canal boat ride, or simply relax. An optional night tour to witness Green Turtles nesting might be available if conditions permit.

Day 4 – Transfer to Arenal Volcano

Begin the day with an early breakfast at Evergreen Lodge. Check out and embark on a boat transfer to Pavona or Caño Blanco, where your private transportation awaits. You’ll journey to Arenal with a lunch stop in Guapiles along the way. Upon arrival at Arenal Volcano Inn Hotel, settle in for your stay. Accommodation according to your selection

Day 5 – Guided Hike to Arenal Volcano

Embark on a guided hike along the Lava Trail 1968, a network of trails offering spectacular views of Arenal Lake and the volcano itself. Encounter diverse wildlife, such as monkeys, mammals, snakes, and unique bird species. Return to the hotel after the hike. In the afternoon, you’ll discover the secrets of chocolate during an engaging tour, learning about its history and production processes. Day 6 – Transfer to Monteverde

This morning, you’ll head toward Monteverde, known as the “Green Lung” of Costa Rica due to its rich biodiversity. Located in the mountainous northwest region of the country, Monteverde is famed for its 26,000-acre Cloud Forest Reserve, home to countless wildlife species. Suspension bridges throughout allow for walks above the forest canopy, with plenty of opportunities to spot the colorfully plumed resplendent quetzal. The reserve’s marked trails pass through exotic fauna and flora, including the greatest number of orchid species on the planet—500—with new ones discovered regularly. This is no ordinary route; you’ll skip the long drive around Lake Arenal and board a boat, which will take you across the tranquil waters of the lake. On this 1.5-hour boat ride, you’ll have ample opportunity to spot local birds like herons and anhingas. Accommodation: Monteverde Country Lodge

Day 7 – Guided walk to the Suspension Bridges

Following breakfast, venture into the cloud forest for a guided hike on elevated walkways. Experience the breathtaking beauty of the forest from 8 different bridges, ranging from 50 to 170 meters in length and 12 to 60 meters above the ground. Encounter diverse flora and fauna, including a Hummingbird garden. Enjoy leisure time for the rest of the day.

Day 8 – Transfer to San Jose – Overnight

After breakfast, enjoy the morning at leisure in Monteverde. Lunch is on your own before you journey back to San Jose. Indulge in a dinner at Hotel Presidente, reflecting on your remarkable Costa Rican journey.

Day 9 – Transfer to the Airport
