Day 1 – Arrival

Welcome to Costa Rica! After arriving at Juan Santamaria International Airport in Alajuela, a local representative will meet you and escort you to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the city of San Jose or take a stroll through the beautiful gardens of your hotel.

Day 2 – Guided tour to La Paz Waterfall Gardens

Leave your hotel after a delicious Costa Rican breakfast and start driving towards to Alajuela province.
Near the slopes of the Poas Volcano is la Paz Waterfall gardens. With over 2 miles of hiking trails, you can see 5 waterfalls, a butterfly observatory, Hummingbird garden, snake garden, frog exhibit and a wild cat exhibit. On this 2.5-tour our guide will explain you all the wonderful things about the animals that live here. The tour includes a delicious Costa Rican lunch with many options of traditional food.

Day 3 – Transfer to Arenal Volcano

After breakfast, transfer to Arenal Volcano for 3 hours drive.
Check in and drop off your luggage at the hotel Volcano lodge, the hotel is located outside the main town of la Fortuna. Free afternoon, spend the afternoon zip lining, visit the hanging bridges in Arenal, take a hike near the foot of the Arenal volcano. Or if you prefer enjoy the hot springs at Tabacon hot springs, a set of natural pools surrounded by tropical gardens and forest. After a refreshing soak you can take dinner at the hot springs for an additional cost.

Day 4 – Boat Tour to Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge

Breakfast in your hotel in Arenal, you’ll take a day-tour to Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge ( a 1.5-hour drive each way). Here, you can expect to see a lot of birds and other animals, including northern jacana, roseate spoonbill, birds of prey, egrets, green ibises and kingfishers.
You’ll navigate down Frio River for 2.5-hours with an experienced guide who will teach you about the importance of wetlands and the rainforest, you’ll see other type of wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, caimans and turtles. Lunch included in the tour

Day 5 – Transfer to Manuel Antonio

After breakfast, transfer to Manuel Antonio in the Central Pacific.
You can choose the following options to get to Manuel Antonio from Arenal
1- Land transportation 5 hours drive
2- Domestic flight from Arenal to San Jose, the flight takes 25 minutes, then, land transportation for 3 hours to Manuel Antonio.

Manuel Antonio It is considered to be Costa Rica’s most beautiful park, with enchanting white-sand beaches ideal for swimming, and tropical rainforest forest alive with wildlife. Watch for the monkeys and iguanas who share the park with you. Most hotels are small and intimate, set high on a hill overlooking the rain forest

Day 6 – Catamaran Tour – Snorkel & Lunch

After breakfast at your hotel, get ready for your next adventure
In the morning, you will embark on a catamaran with lunch and snorkeling included. On this tour, you get to see dolphins, turtles, manta rays and maybe whales (depending on the season). We will stop in a private bay, drop the anchor and then you can go swimming and snorkeling (the staff will provide you with fins, masks and snorkels). While you enjoy, the staff will prepare a delicious lunch for you.

Day 7 – Transfer to San Jose – Overnight stay

Breakfast at your hotel before driving back to San Jose for overnight stay at El Rodeo Estancia

After breakfast, our driver will pick you up to drive you to the Juan Santamaria International airport
